1. About Truckers

Truckers and this website are provided by Diarmuid Keane. Contact [email protected] for support or questions about these terms. These terms describe the service and responsibilities connected with its use. Any mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

2. App availability and licence

Truckers is an app for recording work, estimated earnings, walkaround checks and annual leave. Availability, compatible devices and any purchase price will be shown in the App Store listing when the app is released. This website does not take payments or provide subscriptions.

Downloads through Apple's App Store are subject to Apple's applicable terms and the licence agreement displayed there. These website terms do not replace that app licence or reduce rights provided by Apple or applicable law.

3. Accurate records and safe use

You are responsible for the information, rates, quantities and dates you enter, and for checking reports before relying on or sharing them. Only add information and images you are entitled to use. Protect personal information belonging to others and follow your employer's relevant policies.

Use the app only when safe and lawful. Do not operate it while driving. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with its operation.

4. Earnings, allowances and holidays

Earnings are estimates based on your entries and settings, before applicable tax and deductions. Truckers does not operate payroll, determine your contractual pay or give tax, financial or employment advice. Confirm pay rates, holiday multipliers and bonuses with your employer.

An amount displayed as a tax-free allowance is a user-configured record, not confirmation that you qualify for tax-free treatment. Check the applicable conditions separately. Public holiday information is a planning aid and does not determine your individual entitlement.

5. Vehicle checks and annual leave

The app helps you record vehicle checks and defects. It does not carry out an inspection, certify roadworthiness or replace the checks, procedures or reporting required for your vehicle and work. You and your operator remain responsible for identifying and addressing defects and meeting applicable requirements.

Annual leave requests prepare an email for you to review and send. Delivery and a company's response depend on your email service and employer. Statuses in the app are recorded manually; a saved or sent request is not approval.

6. Reports, storage and backups

Work, leave and check records are stored on your device. Keep suitable backups and check that exports were saved successfully. Records older than 24 months can be reviewed, backed up and deleted with your confirmation. Decide how long to retain copies to satisfy any applicable requirements.

The developer does not maintain a server copy of your app records. Importing exported backups into the current app is not supported. Device loss, deleting the app or deleting records can cause loss of local information. Recipients and storage providers control copies you share with them.

7. Your content and our materials

You keep your rights in the records, photos and logos you provide. Adding them to the app does not transfer ownership to us. You authorise only the processing necessary for the features you choose, such as producing a report on your device.

The Truckers app, website and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property rights. Do not reproduce or distribute our materials beyond what the applicable licence or law permits. Apple and other third-party names belong to their respective owners.

8. Support, updates and service quality

Contact us if a feature does not work as described. Provide enough information to reproduce the issue without sending unnecessary personal data. Updates may fix issues or change functionality; relevant changes will be described with the update. The website may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. This does not exclude obligations concerning the quality, conformity, security or updates of digital content where they apply by law.

9. Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful, or restricts your statutory rights and remedies. Where you are a consumer, applicable rights concerning defective or non-conforming digital content, remedies and refunds are preserved. Any purchase or refund request should also follow the applicable App Store process.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, decisions made by your employer or the independent operation of third-party services. These statements do not remove responsibility for our own breach of a legal duty.

10. Privacy and external links

Read our privacy policy for information about app records, website hosting and support correspondence. External websites and services have their own terms. Links do not amount to endorsement.

11. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms to reflect service changes or legal requirements. Updated terms will be dated; changes will not remove accrued rights or retrospectively change an agreed purchase. Where notice or agreement is required, we will provide it.

Irish law applies, subject to any mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable consumer law.
